When a journalist decides to write about you, they usually have hours, not days. They look for the basics: what the company does, who leads it, when it started, an approved photograph and someone to call. If those are hard to find, out of date or buried in a brochure, the story either gets the facts wrong or moves on to someone easier.
A press kit and newsroom remove that friction. We write and design the material journalists ask for most, and we publish it as a page on your own website, so the facts, images and contacts are always one link away and always current.
Who it is for
Startups preparing for a launch or funding announcement. Founders who are starting to be interviewed. Hotels, restaurants and venues that need approved images for every opening and menu. Real estate developers with projects, renders and milestones to share. Retail and e-commerce brands that work with editors, stylists and creators.
What is included
- A company fact sheet: what you do, who for, key dates, locations and the numbers you are happy to publish
- Biographies of founders and spokespeople in short and long versions
- A boilerplate paragraph for the end of every release, written to be reused
- An approved image library: leadership portraits, team, premises, products and logos in the formats media need
- A newsroom page on your website with releases, coverage, media assets and a named press contact
- A downloadable press kit as a single document for launches and events
- Clear usage notes and photo credits so images are published correctly
- Guidance for your team on keeping the newsroom current
How it works
1. Story and angles
We agree how you want to be described and which facts, figures and people you are happy to make public.
2. Gather
We collect existing material, find what is missing and arrange new photography with our own film team where it is needed.
3. Writing
We write the fact sheet, biographies and boilerplate, and you approve every word before anything is published.
4. Build
We design the press kit and build the newsroom page on your website, fast to load and easy for your team to update.
5. Launch and review
We share the newsroom with your priority journalists and check it each quarter so it never goes out of date.
What you get each month
On a retainer we keep the newsroom current: new releases added, coverage linked, biographies and figures updated and new images published after each shoot. As a one off project, you receive the finished kit and newsroom with simple instructions for updating them yourselves.
How it connects
A newsroom is the home for your press releases and distribution and the first place journalists check during crisis and reputation management. Our website design team builds it into your site, our photography team shoots the images, and our content writing team keeps the language consistent with the rest of your brand. Or go back to all PR services.
Do we need a newsroom if we only have a little news?
Yes, a simple one. Even without regular releases, journalists, partners and investors look for the facts, the leadership and approved images. A clean page with those basics is better than nothing.
Can you add a newsroom to a website you did not build?
Usually, yes. Most platforms, including WordPress, Shopify and custom sites, can host a newsroom page. We check your site first and recommend the simplest way.
What photographs do journalists need?
Recent leadership portraits, the team at work, your premises and your products, all in high resolution and landscape as well as portrait. Our own film team can shoot what is missing.
Should the press kit be a PDF or a page?
Both have a place. The newsroom page is the source of truth and is easy to find in search. A PDF kit is handy to send ahead of a launch or event.
Who keeps it up to date?
On a retainer, we do. Otherwise we train your team and leave a short checklist, so updating it takes minutes rather than hours.
