Speed Optimisation

Speed optimisation for websites that lose visitors before the page loads, measured on a real phone on a real network and fixed to a published budget. For businesses in Dubai and the UAE whose customers will not wait.

Slow websites lose customers quietly. Nobody emails to say the page took too long. They tap back and call the next business in the results, and Google notices too, because speed is part of how pages rank. The usual causes are not mysterious: a page builder, oversized images, a dozen scripts from marketing tools, fonts loaded from three places and cheap hosting.

We find out exactly why your site is slow, fix the causes in order of impact and prove the result with the same measurement before and after. We measure the way your customers in Dubai experience the site, on a mid range Android phone on a mobile network, not on an office laptop on fibre. Our target is the budget we publish for our own builds: Lighthouse mobile 95 or higher, Largest Contentful Paint under 1.8 seconds, under 1 MB on a home page.

That is the budget every site we build is tested against, and speed is the first thing we check on sites we take over.

What is included

  • A speed audit in plain language: what is slow, why, and what each fix is worth
  • Image optimisation: AVIF and WebP, correct sizes for each screen, lazy loading below the fold and priority for the first image
  • Font clean up: self hosted, subset, two families at most, no layout shift when they load
  • Critical CSS inlined and the rest loaded without blocking the page
  • JavaScript reduced: unused plugins and scripts removed, third party tags deferred, no jQuery where it is not needed
  • Server side caching, object caching and a CDN with Brotli compression set up and tuned
  • Hosting review and a move to better hosting where the server is the problem
  • Core Web Vitals fixes: layout shift, interaction delay and the largest paint, template by template
  • Before and after reports from Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights and real user data in Search Console

How it works

1. Audit

We measure every template on a real phone and a throttled network, record the numbers, and trace each slow step to its cause. You get a report ranked by impact and effort.

2. Plan

A fixed scope with price and timeline listing the fixes we will make and the scores we expect each one to move. Where a fix means a bigger change, such as leaving a page builder, we say so.

3. Set up

A staging copy of the site and a measurement baseline, so every change is tested against the same numbers before it reaches your visitors.

4. Run

Fixes applied in order of impact, each one measured. Nothing is deployed to the live site until it passes on staging.

5. Report

A before and after report with the same tests on the same device, plus the settings and habits that keep it fast.

Why is my site slow?

Usually several things at once. The most common on sites we audit are a page builder, images uploaded at camera size, too many plugins and tracking scripts, fonts loaded from external services and slow shared hosting. The audit tells you which apply to you.

Will my Lighthouse score reach 95?

On a site we built, yes, because that is the budget it was built to. On an existing site it depends on the platform and the page builder. We tell you after the audit what is realistic without a rebuild, and what a rebuild would get you.

Does speed really affect sales and rankings?

Yes. Google uses Core Web Vitals as part of ranking, and visitors on mobile in the UAE leave slow pages. Every site is different, so we show you your own numbers before and after.

Do you work on WordPress, Shopify and custom sites?

Yes. Most of our speed work is on WordPress, where the causes are well known and fixable. Shopify limits what can change on the server, so we focus on the theme, images, apps and scripts. Custom sites we audit from the code up.

Who does the work?

Our Dubai team runs the audit, the plan and the reporting. Implementation is shared with our engineering team, with every change tested against the baseline before it goes live.

How long does speed optimisation take?

An audit takes a few days. Most fixes are done within two to three weeks of sign off. Hosting moves or rebuilds are planned separately with their own timeline.

Can you keep the site fast afterwards?

Yes. Our maintenance plans include a monthly speed check against the budget and fixes when a score slips.
