Closer Textures

A furniture brand’s craftsmanship shown the only way it can really be seen, in extreme close up.

The challenge

IDA Homes makes furniture and crafted interior pieces whose quality lives in the detail: the grain of a surface, the weave of a fabric, the finish of an edge. Wide product shots flatten all of that. The brand needed a short film that made a viewer feel the materials, in a format short enough to run on social channels and in showrooms.

What we made

Sayso Creative produced a thirty second film built entirely from close up and macro photography. Each shot moves slowly across a single surface or detail, so the texture fills the frame and the eye has time to read it. The film explores a wide variety of close up styles, from very tight macro passes to slightly wider details that place a texture in its object, and the edit lets each one breathe rather than cutting to a beat. Light is kept soft and directional to bring out relief in the materials. The piece was shot in Dubai and finished for full landscape viewing.

The outcome

The film turns a catalogue of furniture into an invitation to touch. Instead of telling viewers the pieces are well made, it shows the evidence at a scale a showroom visitor could never get close enough to see. It gives IDA Homes a piece that works as a mood film and as a statement about craft.
