The challenge
A Marriott property wanted a brand film that conveyed warmth and sophistication without a voiceover or a list of amenities. Hotel films often rush through rooms and facilities. This one needed to slow down, give the architecture time on screen and make a viewer feel what it is like to walk through the building as a guest.
What we made
Sayso Creative produced a one minute twenty second film that follows a woman's journey through the hotel. She moves from reception past a portrait lined, wood panelled lobby, down a sweeping curved staircase, beneath arched marble ceilings and warm brass details, and into the refined lounge seating. The camera moves slowly and deliberately, staying with her at walking pace, and the lighting draws out the rich materials: marble, brass and wood. There is no hard sell. The hotel's character emerges from the spaces and the way she inhabits them. The film was shot on location in Dubai in collaboration with IDA and finished for landscape viewing.
The outcome
The film gives the property a piece that feels like the stay it promises: unhurried, warm and considered. It works as a brand film on the hotel's own channels and as a showcase for IDA's interior work, and its single journey structure means it can be cut shorter for social use without losing its thread.
